A cold-case murder fifteen years ago halted promising developments in the quest for clean energy when the rumored prototype of a groundbreaking water engine was stolen or destroyed. Now the race is on to repower America, and Cooper Brant, still grieving that long-ago murder of his father, suddenly finds his family visited by a second violent death, raising the stakes to unearth lost secrets. When Coop discovers how the two crimes are linked, a grim message becomes clear. He’s next.
If you like a mystery that takes twists and turns that leave you guessing, than this is a story for you.

Cooper Brant was an interesting character.  Married into the Emery Energy family, he floats around doing whatever he's asked by his wife and by his father-in-law.  While he's an accomplished architect, he doesn't quite fit into the group at Emery.  While he may not necessarily be happy with the way his life is, he doesn't do much to change it, other than to question things once in a while.  So it was interesting that he take up the reigns of investigating his stepson's mysterious death and get sucked smack dab into the middle of one man's quest to run the world...no matter what the costs.

Michael Craft has created a cast of characters that pull you into the story.  As Coop and Arcie try to find answers, you right there with them.

A great page turner that has you entranced to the very last page.
