Powerhouse consultant India Burke is notorious for her razor-sharp mind, her incisive tongue, and for always being in control. But during her “lost weekends”—out-of-town, one-and-done, anonymous rendezvous solely for the purpose of kinky sex—she craves a submissive role.

Cris Ardmore, India’s latest tryst, is a Dominant who calls an isolated Hawaiian paradise home. India’s expecting forty-eight hours of contractually defined sex, but instead of serving as just another BDSM Band-Aid, Cris wants to know the real India Burke. Despite her aversion to anything approaching intimacy, India is hooked by their incredible sexual chemistry.

With tension ratcheting up in her professional life, India needs the release Cris offers more than ever, but her repeated visits come with their own risks. No matter how strong their attraction, India is determined to maintain her boundaries in order to keep her life whole after her first love blew it apart. She must choose between taking a chance and handing Cris the road map to her heart or locking down her borders before he does any more damage.

Karen’s Thoughts

PERSONAL GEOGRAPHY is an intriguing story that captured my attention from the first page and kept me entertained until the last.  It’s the first book in a two part story and this book ends with a cliffhanger.  India Burke is a contradiction.  She’s a tough, smart, straight talking consultant and doesn’t care who she hurts in the process of getting her job done.  India works such long hours she doesn’t have time for a personal life.  India’s also a submissive who loves to be dominated.  She needs a release after working so hard in her pressure cooker job.   She doesn’t have any interest in having a long term relationship because she’s been hurt in the past and is afraid of being hurt again.  However, once she meets Cris Ardemore, she starts to have second thoughts about what she wants and it makes her feel uncomfortable.

Cris is a Dominant and in complete control of their sexual relationship, but India controls every other aspect of their relationship.  She guards her privacy and doesn’t allow Cris to ask any questions about her personal life .  Cris keeps pushing India for more, he likes her and wants to know more about her, but India’s afraid to let him in.  India drove me crazy because she’s afraid of getting close to Cris.  At times, I wanted to shake her.   I loved everything about Cris.  He’s confident, thoughtful, always treats India with respect and tries to make her happy.   He’s a perfect DOM.  He intuitively knows what India needs and never gives her more than she can handle.

This is a well written, provocative story about BDSM with characters that are easy to connect with.  The chemistry is off the charts whenever Cris and India are together and even though India can be a bitch, she also has a vulnerable side.  I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens next with Cris and India.  I’m glad I already have the next book INTIMITE GEOGRAPHY so I can find out.
