Kenna’s Thoughts

Ok.  Short, sweet, and to the point.
I checked “We Need Him” parts one and two, not really aware that they were only the first two in a planned series of planned novellas, including holiday shorts.  I loved the blurb and jumped on them.

First of all, let me put it out there that I wouldn’t consider “We Need Him” (part one) as a BOOK.  It’s about 48 pages, so it definitely falls into the novella category.  This didn’t disappoint me.  I’m all for a quick, sexy read as long as the story is good, and this story IS good.  I’ll spare you all the details, but I’ll say that Jake and Jamie are a couple whose relationship is most definitely rocky.  Enter Brett, a friend of a friend.  They meet at a party, and there is chemistry out the wazoo!  I liked all three characters, even though I wasn’t too sure about Jake at first.  They have a great connection, and the sexual tension is extremely thick, you can actually reach out and touch it.  I was caught up in the story right away, and I enjoyed getting a peek into their bedroom.  There is so much heat between Brett, Jake, and Jamie that I can’t even come up with the proper words to describe it.

Like I mentioned, there is a fast pace.  However, it suits the plot, and it makes sense since this is the first installment of a series.  It’s setting everything up, and it does a good job of that.  I DID find myself yelling at the Kindle when I got to the end.  I didn’t want it to end when it did because I was caught up in everthing.  I took comfort that I had part two read to go and was all set to dive in untill…
