A Siren Erotic Romance

Victoria’s Review

Delicious Surprise is the second book in the Interracial Heat series by E. A. Reynolds.  While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel.

Koji Snow is a man who is looking for a special someone in his life.  So far, he has not found anyone.  So Koji signs up for a dating service which leads to a match with Jamal.  However, Koji gets flashes of what could be called memories and it frightens him greatly.  It leads him to try and reject him, but Jamal won’t go that easily.

Jamal Jameson is a man who goes after what he wants.  The more Koji tries to pull away the more Jamal is intrigued by it and wants to get to know him.  Jamal is also a Dom who is looking for a sub and Koji seems like a good combination.   Jamal does his best to protect Koji from the mysterious man who is stalking him.

The connection between Koji and Jamal is intense.  Their love has survived several lifetimes.  The more Koji and Jamal spend time together the more Koji remembers his past and the man who wanted to break them up.

I found this book well written with an interesting plot. I enjoyed how the author incorporated romance and mysterious in a believable way. The main characters and the secondary characters were realistic.  While the ending was a little predictable, the journey the book takes the reader is gripping with several unanticipated twists and turns. I had a hard time putting this book down.   Overall, this is wonderful book.
