four-stars

Hollywood starlet Marissa Sparks' career teeters on the brink of implosion. Her mansion is nearly under foreclosure, her rockstar boyfriend left her for a supermodel, and her habits of partying all night, drinking to excess and taking prescription drugs get her fired from her current picture. Her only hope is to convince Joel Sutherland, her co-star and one of the movie's producers to give her another chance.

Joel knows Marissa has talent and a sweet, submissive nature, but believes her mother and sister are a terrible influence. All she needs is a strict daddy to take her in hand and give her some firm over-the-knee discipline and loving guidance. When she shows up at his door begging for his help, he agrees to advocate for her return to the movie on one condition: she must move in with him and live as his Little until filming is complete.
Marissa submits to Joel's dominance and seems to thrive under his structure and protection, but he isn't sure if it's all a ploy to stay in the movie. She is, afterall, a talented actress and could be faking everything. At the end of filming, she might just pick up and walk out his front door, taking his heart with her.
Publisher's Note: Β This book contains elements of ageplay, including spanking and erotic sex scenes.

Victoria’s Thoughts

Marissa Sparks is a Hollywood starlet whose career is almost over because of her private life.Β  She does not study her lines, her mother and sister spend her money faster than she can make it.Β  Marissa seems to party all night, drink to excess, and take drugs.Β  What its clear to see right from the start is that Marissa is not happy but unable to make any changes because she just does not know how to start or really where.

Joel Sutherland is Marissa’s co-star and one of the movie’s producers.Β  He wanted Marissa for this movie and stands to lose a lot of money if it does not get completed.Β  Joel takes Marissa by the hand and guides her, by giving Marissa some much needed love, discipline, and guidance.

The connection between Marissa and Joel is intense.Β  I enjoyed seeing how much Marissa β€œgrows-up” as she is allowed to be β€œlittle” for Joel.Β  She enjoys the discipline that he brings her.Β  What I enjoyed the more however, was Joel not wanting to over control her.Β  He walked a very fine line that many I think would cross not even realizing it.Β  He did not dictate to Marissa how she needed to change her life but allowed her to come to grips with the changes slowly.

I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were fascinating.Β  The ending was predictable, but this book is not really about the end but the journey to the end and how Marissa grows up.Β  Overall, this was a very intriguing book and I hope to see these characters again in the future.
