Emma Moss still has nightmares about the horrors she and her sister saw that summer night. Her sister has not been seen or heard from since, but Emma refuses to believe that she's truly gone, and continues to search for her. However, she's running out of resources, and running out of ideas. So when a stranger calls out of nowhere claiming to have information for her, she doesn't hesitate to go meet him. Nikulas Kreek knows a secret about the Moss girls, a secret he soon realizes that even Emma herself is unaware of. A secret that can help them both. But what he didn't expect, was the blood hunger that would assail him upon meeting her, and the internal fight he would have to resist it. Now bound together by more than just their cause, Emma and Nik set out on a rescue mission. Will they be able to get to there in time? And will Nikulas be able to fight his instincts, and leave Emma to live her human life in peace? Or will he be bound to make her his for all eternity?

I really liked this book.  This was an interesting take on the paranormal and romance Vampires and Witches.  I really thought that this book was well written and it flowed beautifully.  I could not put it down once I started reading.  The author did a great job with her descriptions of her characters and the interactions between them made you feel connected to them.  I would have given it more stars if not for the ending.  It kind of fell flat fore me at the end.

An incident that happened Seven years ago had Keira who was Emma’s sister kidnapped by some type of monsters.   Emma, seven years later is still searching for her sister.  Then comes Nikulas, he is an ancient Vampire who is looking for his Brother and believes that the kidnappings are somehow related and that his brother and Emmas sister are being held together.  In meeting each other the sparks fly between the two as their relationship grows while they search for their loved ones.  The chemistry between the two was believable and the scenes between them were slow to start but hot in the end.  I enjoyed the secondary characters as well.  I can’t wait to read more about them in subsequent books.

I gave this a 3.5 stars because I felt that the last quarter of the book really slowed down.  I was disappointed with the way it ended.  It was still a really good book and I enjoyed reading it.  I would definitely recommend it and I hope to read the next book in the series.
