Review: Crafty Bastard by Tymber Dalton

Crafty Bastards is the twelfth book in the Suncoast Society by Tymber Dalton.  While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel.

Cali Charleston has had a rough life.  She and long term boyfriend broke up when he tossed her out of her home and she lost her job working for him.  Then when she finally gets back on her feet, her apartment burns up in a fire.  Cali is determined not to depend on anyone and takes great pains to avoid depending on anyone much to her friends displeasure.  However, you have to admire Cali and her determination to get back on her feet.  It takes a strong person.   The biggest problem she has is she does not know when to bend.

Max Trendle and Sean Dennison are a couple who is looking for a third, preferably a woman who will fit into their lifestyle.  They have had issues in the past, with a woman who emotionally abused them, but out of that situation they formed a bond that is unbreakable between them.  They are attracted to Cali and want her to be part of them.  They plan to slowly get her used to them, however somethings don’t always go as planned.

The connection between Max, Sean, and Cali is intense.  They fit very well together once they all let their guard down together. I loved the sex scenes because of how inventive and hot they were.  Also like that they each respect each other out of the bedroom.

I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were fascinating.  While the ending was a little predictable, the story is filled with twists and turns that keep the story interesting.  What I loved more is that I was kept guessing as to how the book would pan out. I had a hard time putting this book down.  Overall, this was a very wonderful book and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
