[Siren Everlasting Classic ManLove: Erotic Alternative Fantasy Paranormal Romance, M/M, shape-shifters, HEA] By the King's Command... Diego de la Vega is quite pleased with the king's command to mate the dragon leader, Xavier Rodriquez. The man's strength and bravery in battle were legendary, as were the scars that marred his massive body. But there is a vast distance between admiration and love, and despite Diego's efforts, he's not sure the two of them can find a middle ground. Xavier Rodriquez is a man used to the rigors of battle and being alone to lick his wounds. Experience has taught him that the scars littering his body would disgust even the most indiscriminant of lovers. When Diego says he sees them as symbols of valor, Xavier is skeptical, growing even moreso when Diego's gorgeous ex-lover appears, claiming to want Diego back. Trust is not an easy thing and neither is accepting a mate with all their faults. Stubbornness and the need to protect their hearts might be more dangerous to their mating than the mysterious foe bent on stealing their territory, and maybe even their lives. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

“Southern Heat” is the fourth book I’ve read in the “King’s Command” series, and what a great series it is!

The basic premise of the stories is the new king decides to mate a dragon shifter to a human from each area of the kingdom.  He says that, working together, they can better protect the Kingdom from all enemies from all sides.  Not all of the parties involved are thrilled with this prospect, but they do it out of duty.

In this story, we have Diego the leader of the humans in the southern part of the kingdom.  He’s hamdsome, and he’s always had somewhat of a crush on Xavier, the dragon that the king has decided to mate him with.  Xavier is scarred from all of his battles.  He thinks he’s unattractive, and that nobody will want him.  He’s so surprised to realize that Diego wants him, and their relationship is well on its way.  In fact, they have an instant chemistry, and it’s powerful and passionate.

I don’t want to give too much of anything away, but nothing can go smoothly, right?  They’re faced with intrigue at their new keep, angry opinions from their clan and their clutch.  The dragons think they humans are weak, and the humans just very anti-dragon, and they don’t want to work together.  There are also battle scenes that are very exciting.  Also, there is a happy event that turns to tragedy.  It will break your heart, but please don’t let that turn you off the story. It’s so well written, and the plots are so mapped out that it all moves smoothly.

Diego and Xavier are perfect for each other in every way.  They love each other deeply.  Their sex is incredibly hot, and it will leave you fanning yourself.

Please do yourself a favor and read this book, and read the other three installments of the series as well.  They’re fantastic, and I really can’t go on about them enough.  “Southern Heat” can be read as a stand alone because you get enough details from previous books to fill you in on everything.  Olivia Black and Stormy Glenn have outdone themselves.  The concept is brilliant.  The characters are amazing.  The sex is off the charts, and the romance is as tender as the sex is hot.

It’s awesome!  They’re all awesome, and I’m so thrilled to have read them.
