To safely raise her daughter, Samantha Hollister must join wounded U.S. Army veteran Morgan Lawrence in rediscovering an old love that never truly disappeared.

WOUNDED
Samantha Hollister is done relying on other people to take care ofβ€”or abuseβ€”her. Her ex-husband is out of the picture now…like her family home, the haven she intended to seek. Her father just sold it to her high-school sweetheart, the man who abandoned her many years ago for the army. The man who still makes her heart flutter. But Samantha has vowed to never be led astray again. She has a daughter.

WANTING
Despite being injured in action, Morgan Lawrence lives life to the fullest. Each day is a gift, and after five years he is finally one step away from opening a resort for wounded veterans like himself. Unfortunately, a woman stands in his way. And while she has changed, Samantha remains everything he’s ever wanted. Now it’s a matter of helping her see which promises are meant to be broken, and that being strong doesn’t mean one has to fight alone.

This was a great love story full of swoon worthy romance. Morgan and Sam were friends for years and had strong feelings for each other. Then Morgan decides to join the military and this shatters Sam’s world she feels so betrayed that she ends up marrying the first guy that asks her which turns out to be a disaster. In the beginning of their marriage Gary is sweet and carrying towards Sam but things change as time goes by. Sam gets pregnant and Olivia becomes her world as her husband Gary is more concerned with public appearances (his family has money and power) but as time goes by Gary becomes more demanding of Sam and Sam having had enough wants out to make a fresh start she leaves and returns to her hometown planning to live in the home left to her in her grandparents will but after arriving home she finds that her father (the town drunk) has sold the homestead and it was sold to her long lost love Morgan. The back and forth between Morgan and Sam is so romantic and then the way Olivia becomes so attached to Morgan is so sweet. Olivia is Morgan’s life and needing a place to stay with her daughter she ends up moving in with her dad. As hard as Sam tries to stay away from Morgan she can’t because he is very persistant and knows what he wants and that is Sam for better or worse he wants the package deal Sam and Olivia as his family. Loved this book it flowed so smoothly and was a fun read.
