four-stars

Before he can embrace his future, he must accept himself. Kael is happy with his life. A consummate sub, he’s out, proud, and surrounded by good friends. Then he hears about Master L, a new Dom who has all the twinks aflutter. Kael’s curious, but not unduly so, until he and the stud do a scene. Then he understands the commotion. But since Master L only ever tops a sub once, when it’s over Kael is determined to forget him, even if he has to go on holiday to do it.Liam is deep in the closet, but the Dom known as Master L also has needs. So far, he’s kept his identity a secret by never choosing the same boy twice, and frequently changing venues. After his scene with Kael, Liam finds himself fixating on the sub and willing to break his one-time only rule. But will it lead to heartache or happiness?

Kael is a sub who is happy with where his life is at the moment.  He is has good friends, he is out of the closet and proud.  When Kael hears about a new Dom that has all the other subs talking, he is curious.  I liked that Kael did not seem to have any expectations about this new Dom.

Liam is a Dom who only plays with a sub once.  He is known as Master L.  Liam is not out of the closet.  He is not comfortable about being out either.  While he only plays with a sub once, Kael is not a normal sub.  He is the one person that Liam can’t get out of his head.  Liam is determined to play with him again and get to know him.

The connection between Kael and Liam is intense.  I loved how both of them try to go about their lives after they play together once and can’t get the other out of their mind.  Almost like it was meant to be.  The sex scenes were scorching.

I found this book well written with a realistic plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were charming.  At 85 pages, this book has a well-defined beginning, middle and ending.  I had hard time putting this book down. Overall, this was a very charming book and I hope I get to see these characters again in the future.
