From the author of Every Little Kiss, a heartwarming novel that proves sometimes the only way to let people in is to let go...Moving to Harvest Cove has been like a dream come true for Zoe Watson, providing her with a job she loves and close friends she considers practically family. The only problem: a certain prickly—albeit handsome—park ranger who can’t seem to help tracking mud into her art gallery…or showing up in her dreams.Jason Evans swore off relationships the day his ex-wife walked out the door, and the local gallery owner is no exception. But when an accident forces him to accept the one thing he hates most in the world—help—he discovers that with Zoe in his life, there are more highs than lows. Despite their long-simmering attraction, neither Jason nor Zoe thinks that two people with so little in common could possibly have a future together. But one of these nights, they may just discover how alike they are.…

This novel was so heartwarming Zoe Watson has moved to Harvest Cove to open an art studio featuring local artists. She is a stubborn, head-strong woman. Jason Evans -a park ranger with a prickly attitude has moved back to Harvest Cove to escape his past (recently divorced and feeling like he does not measure up) and his over-bearing mother. His mother is always comparing him to his younger brother who could do no wrong. Jason becomes a regular visitor – buyer at Zoe\\\’s studio and has a habit of ruffling her feathers – he tracks in dirt so she buys a mat/carpet just for him so he will wipe the dirt on the carpet but Jason being Jason avoids the mat and still makes a mess of her studio floor. They have become friendly with each other and then one day Jason is hurt on the job and needs some help getting around his home. His mother gets wind of his accident and tells Jason she is on her way to take care of him. Jason does not want his mother visiting nor does he want her help so he comes up with a plan that if his mother sees he has a girlfriend who is taking care of him she will return home after a day or two. So he hopes to accomplish this by having Zoe be his fake girlfriend and this is when the fun begins. Loved this book wish it had a bit more covering Jason and Zoe life after they acknowledged their attraction for each other.
