IT HAPPENED IN VEGAS. I can't be held responsible. Things that happen there are supposed to stay there, right? Right? Yeeeah. Not so much. Andie's just days away from tying the knot, but there's just ooooone little glitch. Apparently, she's already married. Or someone with her name is married to a guy out in Oregon of all places, and the courthouse won't issue her a marriage license until it's all cleared up. Tripping her way through cow pies and country songs to meet up with a man who gets around places on horseback is her very last idea of how to have a good time, but if she's going to get married, make partner at the firm, and have two point five kids before she's thirty-five, she needs to get to the bottom of this snafu and fix it quick ... before her fiance finds out and everything she's been working toward goes up in flames.

I loved every minute of this charming and sweet story. Mack is the perfect book boyfriend. He is a handsome cowboy and a wonderful mixture of smart, macho, sweet and sensitive. Mack and Andie meet in Vegas and quickly fall in love after a night filled with drinking and gambling.

Andie is a successful attorney. She had a bad childhood and the only thing that kept her sane was coming up with her life list and then working to achieve the goals on the list. She is feisty and smart but also filled witI enjoyed every minute of this charming and sweet story and I immediately fell in love with the characters.   SHINE NOT BURN is funny, has witty dialogue, it is well written, has realistic characters and it pulled at all my emotions.

Mack and Andie meet in Vegas and there is an instant attraction between and they have a wild time together.  They drink too much, have hot sex and end up getting married by an Elvis impersonator.  Then they each go their separate ways.  Two years later, Andi is looking Mack up to annul their marriage, so she can marry Mr. Right.  You see, Andi has a life list and she will not let anything get her way of achieving her goals.  Mack is not on Andie’s life list, even if he is a handsome cowboy.

Andie needs control in her life.  She is a successful attorney and she is feisty and smart but also filled with insecurities.  Andie doesn’t have any family support, but she does have her two best friends.  Her friends and her personal assistant had me laughing out loud so many times. The things that come out of their mouths are hilarious and they let Andie know exactly what they are thinking, whether she wants to hear their opinions or not.

Mack is the perfect book boyfriend. He is a handsome cowboy and a wonderful mixture of smart, macho, sweet and sensitive.  He lives in a small town in Oregon and is a successful rancher with a loving and caring family.  Mack is exactly what Andie needs, but she is stubborn and will not admit it.  After all, she does have her list and being married to a cowboy who lives in Oregon certainly is not on that list.  Mack understands Andie and accepts her for who she is with all her flaws and they have chemistry sizzling between them from the moment they meet.
