Praised for her “hot and bold”(Kirkus Reviews) romances of erotic intrigue, the author of Only and Mercy now delivers her most daring novel yet…
She doesn’t depend on anyone for anything. He intends to make her his completely.
Natalie Udall thought her position at the CIA was secure—until protecting her team earned her an armed escort into certain danger. Natalie can’t stand the idea of being secreted away in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, especially since it means sharing close quarters with the controlling bodyguard enlisted to keep her alive.
Gabe MacIntosh joined the military to support his son, trained as a sniper and dealt with death on a regular basis. Now retired and operating a security firm, his first assignment is to protect a CIA agent on the run. She’s strong willed and difficult—and all Gabe can think about is exerting his domination and stripping her of every expectation she has.
Natalie has no intention of giving in to Gabe’s straightforward demands of dominant sex with no attachments—even though the very idea of giving up control thrills her like nothing ever has…

MINE is exactly the type of book I love to read.  It has strong characters, good writing and is action packed, with lots of suspense and drama.  This story is centers on the secret world or the CIA and it immediately captured my attention and held me spellbound through all the twists and turns.

Gabe Macintosh is a former military sniper and now owns Tosh Industries, a security company that specializes in covert operations.  He is hired to protect Natalie Udall, a strong, stubborn woman who worked in black-ops for the CIA, until she was forced to resign.   Unfortunately, she knows too much and her knowledge makes some people in the CIA uncomfortable. She isn’t safe and her friends hire Gabe to protect her.

From the moment Gabe meets Natalie he is attracted to her, although he does his best to fight his feelings because he never gets involved with clients.  There is a lot chemistry zinging between these two as they continually argue.  Natalie is a strong woman and doesn’t think she needs protection, so she is constantly questioning Gabe’s every move.  She is not the type of woman Gabe is usually attracted to but he finds her confidence and stubborn attitude sexy.  Gabe likes to be in control when he has a woman in his bed and he is looking forward to the challenge of getting Natalie to totally surrender to him.  It is easy to like Gabe; he is caring, loyal, honest and dependable. He is all alpha male and willing to put his life on the line for Natalie.

Natalie loved her job and is having a difficult time adjusting to her life after the CIA.  She is used to being in charge, making all the decisions and it is not easy for her to let Gabe take control.  I love all the verbal sparring between these two.  For the first time in her life, Natalie can let her defenses down with someone, although she finds it scary.  This story also has some engaging secondary characters that add another dimension to the story.  This is a thrilling, emotional, rollercoaster ride filled with passion and feisty, unforgettable characters.
