Monica lost her husband in a motorcycle accident, he had 19 years of active duty remaining unhurt only to die on a country road at home. Monica was devastated now she had 3 children to take care of on her own as well as her own business. Monica’s son suffers a serious leg injury playing baseball at the hospital she meets Jason Knight an orthopedic surgeon who will be attending to her son Mitchell. Monica’s first concern is her son’s welfare – but she finds Dr Knight attractive and feelings long dormant are stirring within her. Monica and Jason spend time together during Mitchell’s recovery in and out of the hospital and begin a very easy friendship that grows into a strong attraction but Monica’s daughter Angela was not happy or accepting that her mother was moving on after her husband’s death. This was a clean, refreshing, and heartwarming story I fell in love with the characters from the first page and by the end felt like they were part of my family.
