Got gargoyle?
Ginger Butterbean would like to, but she’s not sure how to go about it. Her marriage of a hundred years has crumbled to dust and she’s worried her witchy bits might be so full of cobwebs, they’ve malfunctioned. She needs sexy gargoyle Slade Nightwing to remind her of what it means to be a witch and that love isn’t just a fairytale.

DeWylde never ceases to amaze me with her world building ability. From the sexcapades of Olympic Gods and Goddesses to witches and gargoyles, DeWylde weaves a tale of a witch wronged and humiliated by her warlock husband, essentially having a midlife crisis. In the apparent aftermath of witch gone wild, Ginger realizes her marriage is over and her cheating husband has humiliated her for the last time.

Having decided she was going to divorce her cheating warlock husband, her best friend loans her Slade, a gargoyle guard under her employ. This is where the fun really begins for our new divorcee. She’s got 10 days to nab herself a gargoyle before she has to return him to her best friend. Slade was at turns fierce and protective and sweet and gentle. Ginger is a bit broken and doesn’t trust that someone like Slade would want her for herself unless he felt she was an obligation. Question is, will she let the rules of society continue to govern her or will she grab what she wants with both hands before it’s too late?

Another great story by DeWylde. Fun and quirky seems t be this author’s style and I absolutely love it. Although not my favorite story by this author, this short, fun read is great for just about anyone. If you enjoy great characters and fun story lines, then this is an author you need to check out.
