The flame never dies . . .
Millie Cross knows what it's like to burn for someone. She was young and wild and he was fierce and even wilder-a Chaos biker who made her heart pound. They fell in love at first sight and life was good, until she learned she couldn't be the woman he needed and made it so he had no choice but to walk away. Twenty years later, Millie's chance run-in with her old flame sparks a desire she just can't ignore. And this time, she won't let him ride off . . .
Bad boy Logan "High" Judd has seen his share of troubles with the law. Yet it was a beautiful woman who broke him. After ending a loveless marriage, High is shocked when his true love walks back into his life. Millie is still gorgeous, but she's just a ghost of her former self. High's intrigued at the change, but her betrayal cut him deep-and he doesn't want to get burned again. As High sinks into meting out vengeance for Millie's betrayal, he'll break all over again when he realizes just how Millie walked through fire for her man . . .

No one writes romance like Kristen Ashley.Β  In this story, she takes a rough around the edges motorcycle guy and makes him a romantic, likable hero. Β This is a beautiful, emotional love story about a second chance at love.Β  Millie and Logan first meet when they are in their early twenties and immediately fall in love. Β However, after three years together, Millie breaks up with Logan.Β  She shatters both of their hearts and neither one of them is able to recover.Β  Our story begins twenty years later, when Millie decides to talk to Logan and finally give her reasons for breaking up with him.Β  Although the story takes place in the present, there are flashbacks to the past so we understand what happens in Logan and Millie’s past.

Logan is a member of the Chaos motorcycle club and I fell in love with him.Β  On the outside he is a tough, hard, alpha male but he can also be sensitive, warm, loving, loyal and protective. Β Β What you see is what you get with Logan and he never holds back, he lets you know what is on his mind. Β He is not afraid to show his feelings and once he meets Millie, she is the only one for him.

In the beginning I wasn’t sure I liked Millie.Β  She seems weak, but as the story progresses, I was able to understand just how strong she is and how much she loves Logan. Β Β Millie is not you typical biker babe; she is educated and has class and style. Β I love how the women are portrayed in this story.Β  They are strong and confident and they can also be zany, fun and feisty. Β There are strong bonds between all the women and they are always loyal to their Chaos men.

To be honest, the Chaos series is not my favorite series by Kristen Ashley.Β  I still prefer her older stuff, but I love anything KA writes and I enjoyed this book tremendously. Β I love second chance romances and stories about mature adults. Β It was also fun seeing some of the characters from previous books included in this story. Β My heart broke for Logan and Millie because they love each other so much and it takes twenty years for them to resolve their problems. Β I found myself laughing, crying and enjoying the suspense. Β KA is one of my favorite authors; I love her voice, the dialogue between the characters and all the steamy love scenes.
