four-half-stars

It's not just the motion of the ocean, ladies. It's definitely the SIZE of the boat too.
And I've got both firing on all cylinders. In fact, I have ALL the right assets. Looks, brains, my own money, and a big cock.
You might think I'm an asshole. I sound like one, don’t I? I'm hot as sin, rich as heaven, smart as hell and hung like a horse.
Guess what? You haven't heard my story before. Sure, I might be a playboy, like the NY gossip rags call me. But I’m the playboy who’s actually a great guy. Which makes me one of a kind.
The only trouble is, my dad needs me to cool it for a bit. With conservative investors in town wanting to buy his flagship Fifth Avenue jewelry store, he needs me not only to zip it up, but to look the part of the committed guy. Fine. I can do this for Dad. After all, I’ve got him to thank for the family jewels. So I ask my best friend and business partner to be my fiancΓ©e for the next week. Charlotte’s up for it. She has her own reasons for saying yes to wearing this big rock.
And pretty soon all this playing pretend in public leads to no pretending whatsoever in the bedroom, because she just can’t fake the kind of toe-curling, window-shattering orgasmic cries she makes as I take her to new heights between the sheets.
But I can’t seem to fake that I might be feeling something real for her.
What the fuck have I gotten myself into with this…big rock?
BIG ROCK is a standalone, dirty romance novel written from the guy’s POV by NYT Bestselling author Lauren Blakely…

Cocktails and Books received this book for free from Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.

I first have to say there is not a Lauren Blakely book I haven’t loved and this is no exception.Β  Big Rock is funny, insightful and sexy all rolled into one book classic Lauren Blakely.

This story is told from SpencerPOV and if you have read any of my reviews you know that the hero’s POV is my absolute favorite.Β  To say Spencer is well endowed would be an understatement.Β  He is also loyal, funny and loves his family and friends but doesn’t want love just wants to have fun.Β

Charlotte is Spencer’s best friend and business partner- they protect each other and will do anything for each other.Β  So when Spencer goes to Charlotte with a proposal she is willing to help – after some coaxing on Spencer’s part.Β  As the time progresses and their relationship starts to shift and Spencer starts having feelings for his best friend that he has never felt before and what started off as a pretend engagement to help his family starts to turn into something real.

I first have to say I love Lauren Blakely’s writing – I must have laughed out loud 30 times during the course of the book both by Spencer’s actions as well as his thoughts.Β  Lauren does a great job balancing who Spencer is with his family and friends his love shining through and the cad he thinks he is.Β  The dialog between Spencer and Charlotte is fast moving and real – again something I have come to expect from Lauren’s writing.Β  She also moves you right into the story and you feel like as the reader you have known them forever and she does it again with Big Rock.Β

I absolutely recommend this book for anyone who loves a great rom com that involves a sexy rich millionaire who isnt what he seems and learns something during the story this is definitely for you.Β  This is the first book in a series and I with this like anything else Lauren writes will be waiting anxiously for the next book.Β Β
