Vampire Kellan Barstow is tired of watching his best friend Lucas Phillips pine after his one true mate. Though he’s jealous that Lucas found his before he found his own, he wants him to be happy and hopes to spur him on to make a move toward his chosen human, librarian Emily Yost. But Kellan’s sick of Lucas's moping and decides one thing will convince Luke he needs to act.
Sleeping with another woman.
Except when Kellan and Lucas sleep with Sydney, a woman Kellan has flirted with for weeks, things quickly spiral out of control. Because Sydney may be more than merely a woman, and Kellan’s feelings for her soon go way beyond desire. Before long, Kellan and Sydney and Emily and Lucas are caught in a dangerous web of lust and love. And this love may do more than biteβ€”it might end them all.

I am admittedly more familiar with Quinn’s contemporary and erotic romance work but I am a lover of pretty much anything paranormal. So when I realized Quinn had written a paranormal romance title, albeit several years ago, I had to read it. Although I absolutely love Cari Quinn’s contemporary books, I have to admit to not quite being sure what to make of Love Bites. With so much going on it is easy to get lost in the many twists and turns and get to the actual story.

In all honesty, although I enjoyed Love Bites, I didn’t find it to be at the same level as her contemporary work. I just could not seem to connect with the characters like I usually do. Quinn undoubtably writes incredibly sexy and steamy scenes and Love Bites was no different. Her world building was exceptional and on point, so I would definitely recommend it to others.
