two-half-stars

They call me the Bad Bitch. A lesser woman might get her panties in a twist over it, but me? I'm the one who does the twisting. Whether it's in the courtroom or in the bedroom, I've never let anyone - much less a man - get the upper hand.
Except for that jerk attorney Lincoln Granade. He's dark, mysterious, smoking hot and sexy as hell. He's nothing but a bad, bad boy playing the part of an up and coming premiere attorney. I'm not worried about losing in a head to head battle with this guy. But he gets me all hot and bothered in a way no man has ever done before. I don't like a person being under my skin this much. It makes me want to let go of all control, makes me want to give in. This dangerous man makes me want to submit to him completely, again, and again, and again...

Cocktails and Books received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.

Evan (Evangeline) Pallida is a successful attorney and I admired her drive, success and intelligence.  She works hard and now owns her own law firm and is one of the most successful criminal attorneys in the city.  She is an independent, alpha female and she takes what she wants and says whatever is on her mind. Although I admire Evan’s independent nature and all that she has accomplished to be honest, I thought she was a little scarey and I had a hard time connecting with her. She is truly a bad bitch.

Even though Evan is a man eater, she doesn’t scare Lincoln, the opposing counsel on a big case Evan is working on. Lincoln is not only a good attorney he is confident and seems to know just how to play Evan.  I enjoyed Evan and Lincoln and they have a lot of chemistry and compliment each other. This is the first book in the Bad Bitch series by Christina Saunders and is a standalone.  I enjoyed this entertaining, hot and steamy story.
