This book couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.  Finally, a candidate that I could get behind!  Katy Evans has given us the perfect candidate in Matt Hamilton.  If only he was real!

MR. PRESIDENT follows Matt Hamilton as he embarks on his independent bid for the White House.  The son of the slain former President, Matt is surrounding himself with people who believe in his candidacy and that are forward, outside the box thinkers.  And there is one person Matt needs to have on his staff.  The grown up version of the eleven year old girl who once wrote him a letter saying she’d support his bid if he ever decided to run for President.

There was something so down to earth about Matt that the minute you met him on the page, you liked him.  And when we discovered why his running, his platform, I found myself falling head over heels for him like every other woman in America.  Yes, he was charismatic, charming, sexy as hell and virtually irresistable, but it was his determination to finish what he father wasn’t able to, to make America a great place again, that had me wishing Matt Hamilton was real and that I could vote for him on November 8th.

Charlotte was that lucky girl that managed to snag the attention of the hot guy, even when she was eleven.  Charlotte takes a leave of absence to work on Matt’s campaign, determined to help him in his quest.  She may still have a bit of the little girl crush on Matt, but uses that to push herself in helping his campaign.  And when their off the charts chemistry takes over, you can’t fault her for falling for her favorite candidate.

Matt and Charlotte are wonderful together.  After a while, you don’t remember there is a big age difference between them.  All you see is how perfectly they compliment each other and that it would be such a big mistake for Matt to stick to his guns and live his life as President single.  And as we sit through the final pages of this book, anxious for those election night results, I found myself praying the next book comes quickly so we know our Commander in Chief pull his head out of his ass and gets his woman.
