USA Today bestselling author, A.M. Madden returns with a brand-new novel of seduction.
After personal heartbreak and professional setbacks, Landon Price is running on empty. If he doesn’t take a break from the public eye soon, he’ll risk becoming another cautionary tale in a town that’s full of them. So in between film projects, Landon asks his agent to clear his schedule and then he simply . . . vanishes. Renting a discreet home on a remote Hawaiian beach for the summer, Landon begins to recharge. And in the process of finding himself, he meets a beautiful, feisty local who challenges everything he thinks he knows.
Zara Jobert has no interest in being a conquest for a cocky playboy from the mainland—even one with undeniable charisma and movie-star good looks. So she’s pleasantly surprised when the handsome newcomer’s persistent advances mellow into cozy banter and a sneakily seductive intimacy. When Landon reveals his true identity, Zara’s hurt that he lied, but she doesn’t care that he’s famous. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way. And falling for Landon might come with a heartbreaking choice—between Zara’s old life, and a new love.
Vanishing Act is a stand alone novel meant for readers 18+ due to adult content.

VANISHING ACT is a sweet and heartwarming story.  I always enjoy books written by A. M. Madden, she knows how write a realistic story with believable and likable characters.  Landon Price, one of the hottest actors in Hollywood, decides to take a few months off to clear his head. To get away from his hectic life, he decides to spend some time on a small Hawaiian island and doesn’t tell anyone where he is going.  For the first time in a long time, Landon can relax and has a sense of freedom.  No one knows who he is and he can just be a normal person.  While on the island, Landon meets Zara and he is immediately captivated by her beauty and innocence.  From the moment Landon meets Zara, he can’t stop thinking about her. She is young, naive and has only known island life.

After living in Los Angeles for years, where you can’t trust anyone and everything is fake, Zara’s genuineness is refreshing and intriguing to Landon.  Landon has never met anyone like Zara. She has no expectations of him and he can be himself.  He keeps telling himself to leave her alone, but he can’t.  He is eight years older than Zara but he feels much older than her.  Living in the island most of her life, has left Zara innocent and untouched. Yet Zara is also tough and strong and she knows how to fight for what she wants.

Landon and Zara live opposite lifestyles and have had very different life experiences and they are not sure if it is possible to mesh their lives together. I liked the plot and the story, although It moved a little too slowly for me. This story is told from alternating POV’s which I always like, because it is easier to understand what both characters are thinking and feeling.  This a beautiful, enchanting story.
