OMG – the conclusion to KL Krieg’s Finding Me duet series has it all. Its beautiful, heartbreaking, romantic and has the perfect payoff for Willow and Shaw’s romance.
Picking up right where book 1 left off Shaw is struggling with a secret that could destroy Willow not to mention their relationship and his family. Finding how intertwined his life is to Willow’s heartache he being the fixer he his wants to protect everyone he loves and he does love Willow. Something he never thought would happen. Not only all that Shaw is also dealing with Willow’s ex who happens to be his father’s campaign manager who wants Willow back and knows the secret that can break him and Willow.
Willow has fallen in love really for the first time but she knows she is broken and doesn’t want to break her relationship with Shaw. Dealing with her own issues she now also has to deal with Shaw’s past – a past that everyone knows across Seattle. Now she feels Shaw slipping away and she has no idea why so when she finally comes to terms with her feelings she knows she needs to hang on to Shaw even waiting for the other shoe to drop. And boy does the shoe drop when she finally finds out the truth.
Ms Krieg does it again – makes her readers feel the pain and love of her characters. Shaw and Willow are broken alone but when they come together they are finally whole but still have to learn how to be together and that is what I love about this story it’s the journey these characters go through. They have to learn to love and wow what a journey they go on and it’s done so well with the dual POV narrative Ms Krieg takes us on. We do get to see all the secondary characters from book one and I love Noah and Sierra (I hope they get their own story) along with Shaw’s family. All of these characters are vital to the story and are more than just a support system for Shaw and Willow.
If you have already read book 1 of the duet than I know you have been waiting for this one as much as I did. If you need a new series to read for the summer then look into the Finding Me duet – both books are available and are great for a poolside read.
