New York City’s hottest bachelors are stirring up trouble in this fun, flirty Oxford Novel, as a love triangle forces a feisty beauty to choose between winning back Mr. Right or giving in to Mr. Wrong.

Taylor Carr has it all—a sleek job in advertising, a stunning Manhattan apartment, and the perfect man to share it with: Bradley Calloway. Even after Bradley dumps her for a co-worker on move-in day, Taylor isn’t worried. She’ll get her man eventually. In the meantime, she needs a new roommate. Enter Nick Ballantine, career bartender, freelance writer—and longtime pain in Taylor’s ass. Sexy in a permanent five-o’clock-shadow kind of way, Nick knows how to push Taylor’s buttons, as if he could see right through to the real her.

Nick’s always trying to fix people, and nobody could use a good fixing more than Taylor. Sure, she’s gorgeous, with mesmerizing silver eyes, but it’s her vulnerability that kills him. Now that they’re shacking up together, the chemistry is out of control. Soon they’re putting every part of their two-bedroom apartment to good use. Then Taylor’s ex comes crawling back to her, and Nick figures she’ll jump at the chance to go back to her old life—unless he fights for the best thing that ever happened to him.

This is the fourth book in the Oxford series and each one is a standalone, although all the characters are interconnected.  I love reconnecting with this fun loving group of characters.  The guys are hot, smart and when they meet the right woman, they are totally committed.

Taylor has just starting her new job at Oxford, the top-selling men’s magazine. Taylor is smart and beautiful but she is also insecure and afraid to show her feelings.  She has an icy exterior and acts aloof and prickly.

Nick also works for Oxford and when Taylor meets Nick she instantly dislikes him.  She isn’t sure why, he seems to get under her skin and everything he does rankles her. Even though Taylor dislikes Nick, she is aware of him whenever he is around and this annoys her.  Nick is not the type of guy Taylor is usually attracted to, but there is something about him that messes with her head and flusters her.

Nick and Taylor continually bicker and make sarcastic remarks to each other. There is a strong attraction between them but neither one of them wants to admit it. Bad timing and missed opportunities would summarize their relationship. Nick is laid back, fun and easy to like.  Taylor, on the other hand, is tough and standoffish and I found it hard to relate to her, although over time, she grew on me. This is another entertaining story filled with engaging characters by Lauren Layne.
