He's an A-list Hollywood heartthrob. She's trying to prove herself in a man's world.

For this female bodyguard, protecting her client is simply business, but what happens when sparks fly and the danger heats up?

From USA Today bestselling author Sidney Halston comes the second book in the Iron-Clad series, Last First Kiss.

I thoroughly enjoyed the second book in the Iron-Clad Security series by Sidney Halston.

Annabelle Clad just wants a chance to prove herself – the youngest of 4 brothers she has always been treated as a girl when all she wants is for them to acknowledge that she is as strong, tough and capableΒ to handle herself in dangerous situations and she can be a bodyguard and become a part of Iron Clad Security, not just the computer tech. Β She finally gets her chance when Rocco Monroe an A listed actor who is starring in a controversialΒ new movie and is getting threats. Β She was in the military as an MP and she can handle herself in dangerous situations but as she starts to spend more time with Rocco she finds herself in a new situation when her interest in Rocco grows to more than professional.

When Rocco Monroe first sees Annie he is floored by how beautiful she is – then he is on the floor when she takes him down in the middle of the meeting. Β Not wanting a bodyguard this seems to be the perfect solution, has Annie protect him as they pretend they are in a relationship. Β When his feelings start to grow Rocco realizes that there is more to the beautiful bodyguard and heΒ does everything he can to show her that they can have more than just a professional relationship.

Sidney Halston does a fantastic job making her main characters more complex than meets the eye and IΒ thought it was well done. Β Told in 3rd person dual POV’s the reader doesn’tΒ get lost and both Rocco and Annie have clear unique voices. Β The dialog felt authentic between all the characters as well. Β The story is fast paced and I did feel the ending was a little predictable and the story seemed to end rather abruptlyΒ – I wanted a little more. Β  Other than that I loved this book and am looking forward to the next chapter in the Iron Clad Security series.
