I went into Ride Wild feeling generally indifferent to the two lead characters: Slider and Cora. I have to say Laura Kaye surprised me. This is my favorite Raven Rider book to date. These two had an unexpected connection that starts with Cora taking care of Slider’s two boys as their nanny. She truly enjoys and loves spending time with them and Slider is beyond grateful but also a little put off from the attraction he seems to have toward her. He has closed down his heart and when you get the full backstory, you fully understand why. Cora hasn’t had the most experience or the best men as role models in her life but she wants the HEA that her best friend Haven seems to have found. She knows it is wrong to have any type of feeling for her employer but she can’t seem to help herself. Laura Kaye gives us a to die for slow burn between these two that you don’t want to miss.
