Brilliant, quirky twenty-three-year-old China Mack is totally satisfied with her carefully ordered, data-driven life. A computer prodigy who landed a coveted programming job at the cutting-edge tech company Cysnet before even graduating from MIT, China is happiest when following her routine: shower before coffee, pizza only on Mondays, bedtime at ten thirty sharp.
But then things start to get a little…unpredictable.
First Jackson Cooper—Cysnet’s rich, gorgeous, genius CEO—assigns China to a dangerous and highly classified project for a government defense contractor. Her sixteen-year-old runaway niece suddenly arrives in town, begging to move in with China. And then there’s her sexy but oddly unsettling new neighbor, Clark…
Quickly the Cysnet assignment becomes disconcerting—and then downright scary—as key staffers turn up dead. China suspects she’s being followed and isn’t sure whom she can trust. For the first time ever, she’ll have to follow her instincts, rather than logic, if she’s going to survive.

Cocktails and Books received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.

I first have to say I will read anything Tiffany Snow writes, her stories a jam packed with romance, intrigue, suspense and more romance and I am so happy to say that Follow Me doesn’t disappoint.

China Mack is a certified geek, she loves Dr. Who, science fiction, and really fast cars.  Considered gifted she graduate from MIT with multiple degrees at a very young age.  China also has OCD and probably borderline autistic (though never specifically mentioned in the book); she likes things a certain way and has a hard time reading people.  So when she is thrown into situations that break her out of her norm she has a hard time and boy she is thrown into some extremely difficult situations from almost the beginning of the story.

This, of course, wouldn’t be a Tiffany Snow series without a hint of a love triangle; enter Jackson Cooper her gorgeous boss who recruits China for a special project.  He is rich, eccentric and will protect China though she is not sure why.   Then there is her neighbor Clark and really that’s all we know about him oh and that he looks like Superman.

From almost the beginning China is out of her comfort zone and the journey she has to navigate to understand what is going on around her and stay alive is what makes this book a joy to read.  Told totally in China’s POV the reader gets a true sense of who China is and she starts to become surer of herself even when things are chaotic around her as the book progresses.  I liked the secondary characters in China’s life and some of them definitely drive the story as they typically do when you read a Tiffany Snow book.  Ms. Snow does a fantastic job keeping the reader on the edge of your seat and is so descriptive in laying out the story.  I did have a hard time relating to China in the first few chapters as the author sets up who China is but after about chapter 3 I was team China all the way.

This story does end in a cliffhanger but if you are a fan of this author that probably doesn’t surprise you.  I am really looking forward to the next book in the series and can’t wait to read other reviews to see who is #TeamJackson or #TeamClark.  I know which side I am on.
