Lori Foster is usually a one click for me because I always enjoy her stories and they are fun and easy to read. Hard Justice is the story of Justice and Fallon. We see a little of Justice in the first book of the Body Armor series. Justice is a former MMA fighter who has now joined his buddy Leese at Body Armor where he serves as a bodyguard. His newest client is Fallon. She is a sheltered twenty-four year old woman who wants to experience the world around here but has been protected by her parents based off her past. Fallon is beyond shocked when Justice shows up because he looks nothing like the million other bodyguards she has had over the years. Justice quickly realizes that Fallon is really naive and has no idea how the outside world works so he decides to guide her on her adventure. As he introduces her to new things, he begins to fall for her. At first Fallon enjoys his friendship too but quickly realizes she cares for him as more than just a friend and bodyguard.
As the story unfolds, there are some interesting characters like Fallon’s ex Marcus who seems to not get the hint that she is done with him. Marcus knows about her past and Fallon doesn’t want it exposed to Justice. She isn’t ready to share her secrets. As these two dance around each other, there is a suspense element being weaved into the story and you spend your time trying to figure out what is going on.
This was a quick read and I loved catching up with some of Lori Foster’s other characters.
