The best way to get over a man is to get under a different one… I have one rule for myself. Don’t fuck the patrons. But as the owner of a BDSM club, that rule is harder to abide by than you might realize. It becomes even more difficult when my best friend’s little sister arrives at my club, lonely and confused, seeking refuge from her ex. I know I could help her, teach her, and build that quiet confidence she’s lost, if only she doesn’t break me first. It was only supposed to be three lessons. No strings. No attachments... The Dominant is a full length, standalone novel, though you may appreciate reading The Gentleman Mentor first, which features another Dom for you to fall in love with.

I was looking forward to SINFULLY, MINE. Β When we Macey made her appearance towards the end of THE GENTLEMAN MENTOR I know whatever she and Reese had was going to be explosive. Β Kendall Ryan didn’t disappoint me with just how hot these two characters were together.

Reese, owner of the hottest BDSM club in Chicago, leads a pretty simple life. Β He runs his club and when he needs a sexual release, he does so with one of the submissives at his club. Β He keeps to a strict set of rules. Β But when Macey comes back to Chicago, Reese is transported back to his early twenties when he was head over heels in love with his best friend’s little sister. Β And what we watch unfurl between these two was one chasing after a youthful dream while the other tried to reconcile past and present.

The minute Reese saw Macey again, all this hard edges softened. Β I loved that. Β It showed that he wasn’t always the closed off, by the book Dom, that he is today. Β But he was terribly conflicted. Β Conflicted over his feelings for Macey, what her return meant, and how what he feels could significantly impact his relationship with his best friend, all while fighting his intense sexual attraction to her. Β I could sympathize with him and understand why he acted the way he did at times. Β But then there were other times, where he was just an ass to Macey, which made his hotness quotient drop a bit. Β I could understand why he would protect himself, but there had to be a better way to do that than to cut Macey.

Macey’s reaction to Reese was almost identical to his when he sees her. Β Everything she felt when she was a teenager practically comes roaring back. Β She was a little strong when it came to Reese, where I wanted to tell her to back off just a tad as she pushed him. Β But I understood her curiosity about the man the boy she loved grew into. Β To test if she could be what he needed.

These two characters had explosive chemistry. Β Any time they were together, my e-reader screen would fog up a bit. Β But they had to much history to deal with and the baggage of Macey being Hale’s little sister, that I often wondered if they were ever going to be able to figure it all out. Β It took a bit of work and a little heartache, but they eventually figured it all out.

Another great read by Kendall Ryan. Β Her magic touch with creating sexy, dirty mouth bad boys continues. Β I can’t wait to see what she brings next.

excerpt

β€œWhat do you think you’re doing?” I find her in my closet, down on her knees and rummaging through a black duffel bag that just happens to hold all my sex toys. Apparently she did see this when she cleaned up.

β€œAh, here we go.” Her fingers close around a generously sized flesh-colored vibrating dildo. β€œYou won’t do the job? Well, I have a feeling this baby will.” She waves it in the air like she’s found the damn golden ticket. Then she rises to her feet and smiles sweetly at me.

For the love of God, this woman does not fight fair. She never has. β€œWhere do you think you’re going with that?”

β€œProbably my bed, then the shower.” A line creases her forehead. β€œDo you have spare batteries for this thing? It might be a long night.”

β€œNo way. Not happening. Give me the toy, Macey.” I reach out a hand, my voice as stern as the set of my jaw, my fingers barely avoiding crushing the crystal tumbler in my other hand.

A slow smile uncurls on her mouth. β€œWhy, Reece Jackson, are you jealous?” She eyes the toy in her hand and then lets her gaze slip seductively down to the crotch of my pants.

If she really thinks that toy’s size has me feeling insecure, she’s insane. Certifiably. β€œYou really don’t remember, do you?” Now I’m the one smiling. She’ll be in for a pleasant surprise later.

β€œI remember everything. I remember how you always made me keep my underwear on, and that I never actually saw you”—her gaze flicks downward—”down there. I only felt you with my hand, and since I had nothing to base it on, I assumed all guys were like that.”

β€œWell, in that case, you’ll be sorely disappointed with this toy.” I snatch the dildo from her hand and toss it back in the open bag.

β€œWhat do you think you’re doing?” she asks, planting a hand on her hip. β€œYou left me hanging at the restaurant.”

β€œAnd you will stay like that until I say so.”
