Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.
Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.
So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in the renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.
Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.
And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to side in the club’s best interest if he’s ready to play.
But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat or is one of them bound to get burned?

Cocktails and Books received this book for free from Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.

This book!  This one took me back to everything I loved about the Driven series, except it was centered around baseball.  K. Bromberg went back to her roots and gave us a couple that gives you angst, a little laughs and a whole lot of sexual chemistry.

Easton is a star catcher with a shoulder injury the team is desperate to get healed.  They hire Scout Dalton to help him get back into game shape.  Both of them are focused on their jobs but they discover they can’t deny their attraction to each other no matter how hard they try.

K. Bromberg has a knack for created this wonderfully flawed characters that absolutely ripped at your heartstrings.  Easton and Scout both have some serious issues, but it was fascinating following them.  Scout had walls a mile high, but Easton didn’t let those stop him.  He chipped away at her with his charm and his work ethic.  And when he finally broke through, he proved to her that he would abandon her.

You don’t have to be a fan of baseball to appreciate this story.  Easton and Scout are real, a little broken and grab you from the moment you start this book.  I can’t wait to read the completion of their story when THE CATCH come out in June.
