Making an appointment with his ex-girlfriend under a fake name, David buys himself one hour to get her attention. Hoping to apologize and remind her of their time together, he intends to do whatever he has to in order to make Meredith, a practicing Wiccan, forgive him for being idiot enough to have listened to those around him which meant choosing his political aspirations over love.

Meredith is resistant to let David anywhere near her heart again. Desperate, David plays all his trump cards and suggests a sexual magick ritual which incorporates the BDSM lifestyle he and Meredith used to experiment with. The methods he uses may be unconventional, like sensory deprivation and sensation play intended to build trust and to achieve altered states of consciousness. But David is more than willing to do whatever it takes if he can just get Meredith

David surprises Meredith by booking a massage under a fake name.  When she enters the room, Meredith is hit with the familiar and heartbreaking smell of a man who’s betrayal almost broke her.  David now uses their past together, along with his newfound knowledge in Wiccan, to try and win back the woman who owns his heart.

David listened to his family in friends when it came to what was good for him, rather than listening with his heart.  What he realized, in their four weeks apart, was that Meredith meant more to him than any political aspiration he or his family had.   He’s broken her trust and needs to find a way to get it back.

While Meredith longs to believe the things David says to her, she can’t let go of how she believes that she will never fit into his world and will do harm to him than good.   She convinces herself that she will have this one last time with David and them let go, not willing to trust what she thinks she sees and hears.

So it comes down to a Wiccan sex magik ritual to help cleanse their relationship and prove that trust that David so wants her to have and Meredith desperately wants to believe in.

This is a very short read, but very intense, however it does show the lengths a couple will go to when desperate enough to get back what was lost.
