Reviewer’s Thoughts

I have loved Bethy since she befriended Blair way back when.  Sure she slept around, but there was just something about her that I liked and I knew there was more to her than meets the eye.  We saw that as her relationship with Jace grew and she developed friendships with women he didn’t treat her any differently because of where she came from or what she did for a living.  But then we saw Bethy fall apart when her first love comes back and throws her whole world in turmoil, including losing the one man she thought she would have forever with.  It was hard to watch Bethy fall apart, but even harder as she blames herself for Jace but even more she blames Tripp for forcing her down this path.

I’m not sure what to say about Tripp.  He’s a very special Rosemary Beach man.  Each of the men in Rosemary Beach have been “broken” in some way, but it felt like Tripp was a bit more broken than the others.  He lost his love, himself, and in the end, his cousin, because of his family demands that drove him away when he was eighteen.  But I think he was more broken as he vigilantly followed Bethy.  Her anger towards him hurt, but he mourned the loss of the girl he knew and loved.  He wanted nothing more than for Bethy to left go her of grief and anger.  To find happiness.  Even if that meant it wasn’t with him.  And that was why I fell for Tripp.  It was all about the woman he loved..whether she could ever love him again or not.

The book has it’s share of heartbreaking scenes, especially when the author takes us back to the beginning of Tripp and Bethy’s romance in some flashback scenes.  But readers won’t be disappointed in the level of hotness in this one.  Tripp, has a dirty, dirty mouth, and the scenes where he uses that dirty mouth on Bethy will certainly have you reaching for a drink of cold water.  And the entire Rosemary Beach clan is here too, as Woods and Della get married (and there is a particular scene with Nate and Dean that still has me laughing…that futter!).

I really enjoyed this one and was so happy this couple got their HEA.  They had a lot to work through to get to that HEA, but no one in Rosemary Beach has an easy road to forever.  For anyone who has followed this series, it’s a must read and one I think you’ll truly enjoy.
