A Week in New York_finalAnna Kirby is sick of dating. She’s tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she’s a magnet for men who don’t deserve her.

A week’s vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.

Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn’t date, he doesn’t stay the night, and he doesn’t make any promises.

It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.

A Week in New York is the first part of The Empire State Series, a series of three novellas.

Reviewer’s Thoughts

A WEEK IN NEW YORK is the steamy first novella in The Empire State Trilogy and I found myself immediately immersed in this sexually charged story.  The story revolves around Anna, a woman recovering from another bad relationship and Ethan, a handsome manwhore.  Anna is visiting New York when she first meets Ethan.  From the moment they see each other, there is strong attraction and after only a few minutes of conversation, Anna decides to go home with Ethan.  This is totally out of character for her, but, on a whim, Anna decides to do something different.   Ethan, on the other hand, doesn’t date and has never been in a relationship.  He only has random hookups and he’s a controlling man who prefers his sex hard and rough.  Anna and Ethan’s only expectation is to have a fun-filled night of sex.

AUTUMN IN LONDON is the second novella in The Empire State Trilogy and just as engaging as the first.   After Anna returns home to London, she and Ethan meet again.  While Ethan is visiting London on business, they discover there’s still the same explosive chemistry between them.  They each share more about themselves and their feeling, but circumstances may keep them apart.

I loved Ethan’s dirty mouth.  He’s a god in bed and when he and Anna are together their chemistry is off the charts.  They’re strong and smart, but they each have insecurities.  Ethan is a confident and sexy guy, but since he has never been in a relationship, he feels vulnerable.  He’s always self assured, but he is out of his element when dealing with love and relationships. Anna is smart and beautiful, but afraid of getting hurt again and isn’t sure she can trust Ethan.

Louis Bay knows how to write a delicious story.  This is well written, with a believable plot, dialogue that flows and interesting characters.  I loved every minute of this passionate story and my only disappointment is waiting for the next book, to find out what happens next.

CnB About the Author

I write sexy, romantic, contemporary novels – the kind I like to read!

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the seventies and eighties, I love all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so I’ll settle for books and films.

I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don’t have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
