How I Discovered Indie Authors
Susan
I first discovered indie authors through Goodreads. My Goodreads friends would read books written by them and then brag about how great they were. Naturally I had to check them out, and I quickly fell in love. Indie authors are so friendly, wanting to connect with their readers and I’ve met some great people that way!
Teresa
I first stumbled across Indie readers with LJ Anderson (Mayhem Publishing/Cover Designs). She wrote and published a short story that I loved. Then Shay Savage decided to publish an original story that she wrote, that was it; I was hooked.
I started following blogs that promoted Indie Authors, and would search them out on Goodreads. I just felt I got more of what I wanted with Indie Authors compared to traditionally published authors.
Amanda
I came across Indie authors after reading fanfiction. A friend had started reading them and told me I had to read a book that she loved. Once I started reading Indie authors, I could not stop. Now I pretty much only read stories sold by Indie authors.
