Anya’s wish for a normal date—away from the old man she is caretaker for—comes true in unexpected ways when she finds herself whisked to an ancient Irish stone circle on solstice eve.

Carrick’s decision to follow the path to become an Ovate druid has not come lightly, and he plans to spend the solstice eve in meditation unless fairies or evil spirits disrupt the circle. When a feisty girl walks right up to the fire, more than sparks fly.

They each seek healing and a connection, but the darkness of summer is short, and once the solstice sun breaks through the circle at dawn, the magic of the night will be over. Even Madame Eve can’t stop the day from rising.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Anya has put her life on hold to be the caretaker of an old man. She gets out once a week to a pub to have a beer or two then heads back to the mansion she live in to take care of the old man. She contacts Madame Eve for a chance at a normal date. Anya has waited a year for Madame Eve to do her magic and find her the perfect one night stand.

Carrick has lost his entire family during the many wars that take place in Ireland during his time, because of this he plans to become a Ovate druid. Part of his training and responsibly on the solstice is to tend the fire through the night to keep the evil spirits away. His plans for mediation and  contemplation are thrown away when he first meet a fairy and then a beautiful woman shows up.

Madame Eve has finally found Anya’s match, little does Anya know that it will involve time travel to meet him. Now that they have found each other will they be able to let it go at just the one night and if they want more what will they do?

The One Night Stand series is an amazing body of novella’s from many different authors, covering almost every aspect of the romance genre. Ms. Adrienne has proven she belongs with this amazing group of authors with her contribution, “”Druid, Mine””.  The story is fun, unique and well written. The sex is hot and the characters are easy to love. this was a great short read for a wait someplace or if you just need a romantic shot in the arm.

I give “”Druid, Mine”” 4 cocktails.
