The unexpected happens in an instant. On her way to work, secretary Docia Waverley hurtles into a crashing crossroads, and she quickly begins to suspect that things will never be the same. Then, when a tall, blond, muscular stranger intervenes on her behalf, telling her it is his duty to protect her at all cost, what is just a feeling turns to proof positive. That is, as long as Docia’s savior doesn’t turn out to be a crazed kidnapper.

When Ram finds Docia, he has no doubt that she is his queen. But as this golden warrior sweeps in to protect her, he feels something more than body heat every time they touch. He is overwhelmed by a searing connection that goes deep into the twin souls inside him. A desire rises in him that is forbiddenβ€”this woman is his queen, the mate of his king, his leader, his best friend. And yet Docia is so vulnerable and attractive that she awakens a hunger in Ram that is undeniable, a carnal craving he cannot yield to . . . not without risking the very survival of the Bodywalkers.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Ram has always done everything to protect his queen, keeping to strict rules he regards the old ways as sacred but this time is different; this time she has ignited a heat that takes every bit of strength to deny. Vincent, however, has different plans. For him, this heated inferno is exactly what he wants and he will stop at nothing to crumble that strength in Ram and have the forbidden for his own. The only problem is the new guest inside of Docia is not who she appears to be and it will take the strength of both men to bring back the trust that has been lost.

Docia didn’t ask for this but now she is sharing every feeling and thought with another being. Two souls in one body is enough for a girl to deal with but now she has been thrown into a war; not to mention the arms of the extremely attractive Ram who is at her side every waking moment. Unlike Ram aka Vincent; Docia and Tameri are in complete agreeance. They are butter in his hands and will risk everything to stay there including breaking all of the rules. What started as war strategy has now become undeniable love and they both must work together to show him they can be trusted.

As you can tell this story is a bit different. Each individual body shares two souls. Like brothers inside of one body they work together. Ram is very honorable and will refuse his own desire just for the sake of not breaking the rules; Vincent, however, has no problem chasing the forbidden to have exactly what he wants. The two men come together in what you could describe as perfection, completing each other. Docia and Tameri are exactly the same. Docia being very mild mannered, shy even, with just a hint of quirky but Tameri is brave, well spoken, and carries herself with utter perfection achieved from millenniums of training. Again both women complete each other; both bringing something forward from within to help the other.

This was surely something new for me and I quite liked it. The idea of sharing a body with another person seems so complex and yet the author does it with great ease. I really enjoyed the smooth transition from one character to the other. There was no confusion, no loss of interest, only complete intrigue and a delicious plot well played out. I will even admit that midway through I was borderline broken hearted only to be redeemed, THANK THE HEAVENS! Β I highly recommend this book, especially if you are looking for something new to bring to your book shelf.
