Reviewer’s Thoughts:

How to Misbehave is the first in the Camelot series by Ruthie Knox it is a novella and starts us following the Clark siblings.

Amber, recent college graduate and director of the Camelot Community Center, has been watching the sexy construction worker who is the foreman of the remodel at the community center, watching him a lot now if she just was sure of his name. Amber has heard him referred to as the Italian Stallion, Mr Yummy, the receptionist said his name was Patrick Mazzara and he was trouble.  When the tornado siren goes off she is going to be spending some time with Mr. Yummy in the basement. Her thought Carpe diem!

Tony thinks Amber is damn cute, like a baby rabbit. His first thoughts are he should protect her but he know he would need to protect her from himself. When Amber and Tony are stuck in the basement of the community center while the tornado warning is sounding Tony informs Amber that “”… somebody’s got to teach you how to misbehave.”” While Tony tries to explain why he is all wrong for Amber he also finds that maybe she isn’t the bunny he thinks she is.

Tony and Amber have some amazing chemistry and in the space of the novella manage to crank up the heat to off the charts.

Tony has issues because of an accident he and his brother were in and doesn’t feel like it is safe to let anyone in to his life that he doesn’t deserve to have love or happiness.  Amber has always been the good girl, the A student, the one trying to please her mother, she doesn’t want to be that person any more. Amber has a crisis of faith that feel a little strange in the context of an erotic romance but it does help up develop the characters in her life and helps us to understand her a bit more.

With a novella it is hard to get a good story arc with out feeling rushed but Ms. Knox does an amazing job of giving us a full and compelling story without feeling like a big piece is missing. How To Misbehave is a fantastic start to this series and I am looking forward to reading the rest.
