Reviewer’s Thoughts

Let me start by saying that “Kelly’s Heroes” is the sixth book in a series called “The Men of Treasure Trove”. It’s also the first book that I’ve read by Rebecca Joyce. While I was reading, I found myself wishing that I’d have started at the beginning. There seem to be a lot of characters living in Treasure Trove, and they cross back and forth between the stories. There is also an ongoing mystery, a very interesting mystery, and because I came in late, I was a bit confused.

Now, with that out of the way, I can tell you that “Kelly’s Heroes” was a decent read. Kelly Connor is a counselor who works with veterans. Micah and Daniel are two of her patients. Kelly has loved Micah and Daniel from afar for quite some time, and the men feel the same for her. Kelly’s in a sticky situation. Her friend Emma seems determined to find her a man and has been setting her up on a series of disastrous blind dates. The one we actually read about is pretty hilarious. Kelly comes up with a solution, and the guys agree to go along. That’s as far as I’m going to go with spoilers. You have to read for yourself how it all turns out. As for that mystery? Like I said, it’s a good one, and I’m sure to be going back to the beginning to see how it all fleshes out.

The romance in the story happens rather quickly, and the sex? WOW! It’s scorching hot. It’s a BDSM story, so there are toys, floggers, vibrators, and silk rope. The final sex scene starts at 90% and goes until the end. It’s extremely intense. It took me a bit out of my comfort zone. I’m not saying that as if that’s a bad thing, but it’s not for the faint of heart, so prepare yourself a bit. It’s a meange story, so there are scenes where the three main characters are together, but the men don’t touch each other. All of their attention is devoted to Kelly. I also want to mention that they have such sweet nicknames for her. Daniel’s is “Angel”, and that makes me smile because that’s what my husband calls me 🙂

I’m going to recommend this book. It was entertaining. I do suggest, though, that you start from the very beginning with “Emma’s Treasures”.
