Guest Review: Size 12 and Ready to Rock – Meg Cabo

Posted June 23, 2012 by Shannon in Reviews / 0 Comments

After dallying with sexy vampires and ingeniously reinterpreting the Dracula legend (Insatiable, Overbite), #1 New York Times bestseller Meg Cabot is ready to rock ‘n’ roll once more with Heather Wells. The un-petite assistant New York City college dorm director and sometime sleuth is back in Size 12 and Ready to Rock–a delectable comedy mystery that proves once more that the much beloved author of The Princess Diaries rules in the realm of grown-up women’s fiction as well. Heather’s got her hands full when a pop star and her reality TV camera crew invade the dorm–bringing with them a summer camp-full of adoring teen admirers–only to have an inconvenient homicide spoil the fun. There’s romance, treachery, merry mayhem and music–just the ticket for readers who like to rock out on the hip contemporary singleton fiction of Sophie Kinsella, Jennifer Weiner, and Jane Green.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Heather Wells is back in the fourth book of the Heather Wells mysteries.

Size 12 and Ready to Rock picked up pretty much picked were Big Boned left off.

Size 12 and Ready to Rock is an awesome addition to the series. The plot is amazing the interactions between the character is amazing.Β  The character developmentΒ  is amazing. I really enjoyed how the Heather and Tania start up an unlikely friendship. I really enjoyed how Heather started feeling protective of Tania. It was also interesting to see Heather and Cooper welling go and spend time with Cartwright family.

TheΒ  plot and mystery of the story was amazing. The way the whole plot just smoothly went along. I really enjoyed the relationship between Heather and Cooper, became more public with their relationship. I felt really drawn into the plot, the mystery part of the plot kept on my toes guessing about what it could be. When it came what was going on i was completely shocked.

I couldn’t put this book down and when it was over i was disappointed i wished it kept going.

I give Size and 12 and Ready to Rock five cocktails.Β Β Β
