Reviewer’s Thoughts
This book immediately pulls you in because Kacey’s past is absolutely heartbreaking. Losing her parents and boyfriend in a car accident has left her shattered emotionally and it has taken her over a year to physically heal. She and her younger sister, Livy (her story is book two and I look forward to reading it) head to Miami. I don’t want to give too much away about why they leave their home but they have a good reason to start over. Kacey soon realizes that being out on her own with a young sibling is much more difficult than she imagined. Luckily for her, she has a very caring neighbor (Storm) who can see she needs help. Storm gets her a job at a strip joint as a bartender.
