Cocktails and Books was started out of a love for books and that need to spread the love to the masses. The reviews that are written are of our honest opinion for the books themselves, regardless of how we obtained a copy of that book. Reviews are not intended to hurt anyone's feelings but are instead used to express our insight into what we read.
Cocktails and Books will regularly sponsor giveaways. These giveaways comes out of Shannon’s book budget and are subject to the following guidelines:
- Entrants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Open to those that follow the blog on Google Friends Connect (GFC)
- We ask that those entering please follow the rules. Those found not following the rules will be disqualified.
- Please check the post to see which countries are eligible to participate (read: where item will be shipped to). All giveaways are void where prohibited and the sponsor (if there is one) chooses which countries they are willing to ship to.
- Winners will be chosen, at random, via through Rafflecopter (which uses Random.org). Winners will be announced on the post specific to that giveaway.
- Winners will be notified via e-mail. If we do not receive a response within three (3) business days, another winner will be selected instead.
- Upon acceptance by email, winner acknowledges that we may use his or her first name and/or user-name on the blog in an announcement that the giveaway has ended.
- There is no cash equivalent or exchange for prizes (remember these are mostly from us or from authors who have donated books to be given away).
- Cocktails and Books reserves the right to cancel a giveaway at any time. Terms of any giveaway also may be subject to change at any moment’s notice. We don’t anticipate this ever happening, but in the event that it does, you were warned.
Cocktails and Books also participates in author / publisher / promotional tour giveaways. Please check the post for any special guidelines, outside of those that are already listed.
