Reviewer’s Thoughts
When I picked this book up, I was worried about being lost, as it is the second book in a spin-off series of Molly Harper’s Jane Jameson series – which I haven’t read. And while there were some things mentioned that could have used some explanation, I didn’t find myself lost, and very much enjoyed this as a stand-alone. Now, however, I feel the need to go back and read all of the previous books!
As an Irish witch, Nora is exactly what I would expect. She’s witty, independent, carefree and charming. Her personality is infectious, and when she meets the hero of the story, Jed, things get interesting. He’s a free spirit – nudity is a norm for him, and he’s super gorgeous. His beautiful body is a distraction to Nora, which leads to hilarity, flirtation, and eventually a cute romance.
But what I loved the most about this story is the creativity of the author. Her enchanting world of anything and everything paranormal is one that I could easily find myself lost in. The characters, the adventure, the whimsical feel to the whole thing – it’s all a wonderful ride as a reader. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and will definitely be picking up the rest of the previous series (and the first book in this one).
