Reviewer’s Thoughts

Amber’s Fantasy is more along the lines of a novella than a novel.  However, Pepper Anthony manages to add great detail to the storyline and the characters.  Amber is an African-American office worker with a high level of attachment to her family.  Ray is a Caucasian IT professional with a butt that has Amber thinking about crossing racial lines.  Ray stumbles upon Amber’s secret fantasy and can’t seem to get her out of his head. This is where I felt like it was a little to unrealistic—not many office workers bring menage romance books to their workplace.  Amber and Ray make the decision to become intimate and involve his extremely shy cousin Cal to complete Amber’s menage fantasy.  Cal was barely able to make eye contact or speak, but when Amber offered the goods everything was in working order and he had no problem jumping in for some of the action.

I loved that Ray’s character really thought about whether he could handle a menage a trois with a man especially considering that he felt Amber was a keeper.  I was a little ambivalent on Amber’s character because she was initially so wrapped up in dating a “white man”.  Then she quickly went to bed with him and his cousin…that was a quick turnaround.  The action was extra hot and spicy.  Ms Anthony is definitely talented at writing great love scenes.  The chemistry between Ray and Amber was electric.

Amber and Ray get their HEA after a traumatic incident in Amber’s family.  It was a quick, steamy read.
