20643604 (1)Tough undercover cop Mike Anderson does not submit to anyone, let alone a pint sized bundle of curves with a Mistress Complex, who stands for everything he despises about BDSM.

Thrown into a world where the rules make no sense to him, he has to rely on his instincts, and they all scream one thing—submit to His Lady.

Scarlett Simpson is one of the most feared Mistresses at Club Spectrum and she has a score to settle. Mike’s atrocious behavior needs addressing. If only she wasn’t so attracted to the big hunk of a man, and he didn’t prove so utterly responsive. As she explores his boundaries through Shibari and Knife Play, Scarlett can’t help but get emotionally involved.

Submission freely given is a gift she treasures, but can she trust Mike to stay around once the case is over? When danger comes knocking, will Mike be able to protect her, or will this end in tragedy?

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Mike Anderson is a cop through and through.  He wants nothing to do with submitting to anyone especially a pint sized Mistress.  He is not comfortable with his sister’s lifestyle and is not interested in it himself however he is stubborn and will standby his word.  Therefore, Mike takes on this pint sized Mistress to protect her from those who wish to harm her.

Scarlett Simpson is one of the most feared Mistresses at Club Spectrum and she has been given Mike to be her sub as a disguise for him to protect her.  While that does not really sit well with her, it seems Mike’s behavior bothers her the most.  However, Scarlett’s biggest issue is she is attracted to Mike, if only he liked the lifestyle he would be a perfect fit for her.  Scarlett is a complex woman who is not just tough but also sweet and loving.

The chemistry between Scarlett and Mike is scorching.  The sex scenes were blistering.  I loved how well Mike and Scarlett fit together.  While I did not understand why the necessity of the Auction since Mike was to be Scarlett’s sub, I found there connection interesting.

Auctioned to Protect is the second book in The Spectrum Auctions by Doris O’Connor. This book is best understood if the first book in the series is read first.  I found this book well written.  I loved that this book picked up right where the first book left off.  I was hooked.  The main and secondary characters were interesting and engaging.  I loved that we got to see Mike’s side of the story.  Overall, this was a fabulous story.
