For better or worse, for richer or poorer, β€˜til almost death do they part…

Amberlyn Reilly took a risk and found a new life in Ireland. She did something drastic and jumped in front of a loaded gun for the one she knew she couldn’t lose. And with her mother’s last request, she did more than fall in love. She fell into Declan O’Callaghanβ€”with her eyes wide open and her damaged heart and soul leading the way.

When Irish-born Declan O’Callaghan spotted Amberlyn across the lake, he knew his life was about to change. And it did. Now he has everything he’s ever dreamed of β€”he’s marrying for love, and with that love, the family distillery will now be his as long as he marries before the deadline.

Things are moving fast. It’s now or never. And as their beautiful relationship grows, time is something these two don’t have a lot of. Declan’s and Amberlyn’s souls are tightly tethered, but will the questions and second thoughts of others prevent them from having a life they’ve both only begun to dream of? Will family and the obligations that come with the O’Callaghan name push them to their breaking point? Or has the Whiskey Prince truly found his happily ever after taking Amberlyn as his Princess?

Shannon’s Thoughts

In BECOMING THE WHISKEY PRINCESS we finally get to find out if Declan was going to be able to claim his birth right and the woman he loves or be forced to let one of them go.

Declan and Amberlyn’s relationship hasn’t been the easiest. Β Both of them have family baggage that they must overcome, but it’s only together that they discover they can be what they want, with who they want, regardless of the empire Declan is destined to run.

I already knew I wanted Declan and Amberlyn to get their HEA. Β And I loved that Declan was willing to let his birthright go in order to ensure Amberlyn felt she was making the best decision. Β But I soon discovered I was firmly on Amberlyn’s side…especially when Declan’s mother became an ugly thorn in her side. Β Amberlyn showed what she was made of when she stood her ground in what future housing would be like for her and Declan once they were married. Β She knew they needed to set their own course and they couldn’t do that follow Declan’s family tradition of everyone under one roof. Β She continued to protect Declan and herself and you knew that was how their life was always going to be.

Declan and Amberlyn’s relationship may not have started off traditionally, but it was one that was fun, emotional and (finally!) sexy. Β The build up was slow and took some unexpected turns, but in the end, it made BECOMING THE WHISKEY PRINCESS a very enjoyable read.

About Toni Aleo

My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.

I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.

I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!

When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.

I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.

… and did I mention I love hockey?

The following two tabs change content below.
I am a lover of alpha males with dirty mouths, strong heroines putting alpha males in their place, and the Chicago Blackhawks. I'm a proud hockey mom who can often be found at the hockey rink cheering on my favorite forward, with my kindle close by.
