Matt and Adam are back and this time they’re welcoming two established Master/sub pairs who want to play together. Without ruining their friendship.Subs Peter and Max have been best friends forever, since before they met their masters. They were lovers once, but both men needed the influence of a Dom to stay on an even keel. Happily in love with their masters, Devon and Swan, the boys nonetheless want more.Devon and Swan care deeply for each other and are willing to give becoming something more a try and the Briar Rose seems like the perfect place to give it a go. As neutral ground, if things go wrong, they should be able to put the whole thing behind them and go back to their lives as simply friends. Can Devon, Peter, Swan, and Max become the blended family they yearn to be?

Blended Family is the third book in The Briar Rose series by Sean Michael.Β  While you don’t have to read the prior books to enjoy this book, it does help understand the setting and some of the characters.

This is a complicated book with three masters and three subs.Β  Matt and Adam are back attempting to help two masters and two subs come together into one family unit without reining their friendships.Β Β  Peter and Max are both subs and best friends. They seem to be the driving force behind blending the four of them into a family.

Devon and Swan are both masters and are willing to give this a try.Β  They have feelings for each other as well.Β  I loved how each dom and sub were different.Β  I also loved how the rules they created were tailored to each Dom and Sub and not a rule that applied to either everyone or both subs.Β  They considered everyone’s needs.

I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were mesmerizing.Β  While the ending was a little predictable, the book is a beautiful story.Β  I had a hard time putting this book down.Β Β  Overall, this was a very magnificent book. Β I hope this book is the start of a spin off series with Devon, Swan, Peter, and Max.Β  I would love to know how they do in the future.
