His claim on the Phoenix and her host will finally unite them…or destroy them all.
Amelia Carter has one goal: to stay alive and keep the Phoenix within from falling victim to the evil that has kept them on the run for the past year. With the Phoenix’s power of sight, they are able to stay one step ahead, until Caleb Reed catches up with them, sparking desires beyond her wildest fantasies.
A shapeshifting hellhound and paranormal bounty hunter, Caleb finally ends his century-long search for his runaway mate. When he discovers his charge is the Phoenix who fled his bed over a hundred years ago, he turns the tables on the crime lord who seeks to capture her for her powers. Keeping his mate safe becomes his priority, because he won’t fail her again.

Another great story by Lia Davis. This time Davis gives us a demon hell-hound and a phoenix. The phoenix is a strange paranormal that we don’t see very often.

Nix, or Mel as Amelia, the phoenix’s current host, calls her lives within her host after her previous one was brutally murdered. She is a part of Amelia that she has learned to co-exist with and trust. But Mel has been keeping a secret. Her mate is coming for her and she’s not sure she wants to be caught.

Two men want her, each for their own reason. One will not rest until he possesses the power of the phoenix. The other haunted by vivid dreams of his mate who has been hiding form him for years, will not rest until he possesses her in his bed forever. Can she trust him with her heart and Amelia’s body after running form him for so long?

Filled with action, Bounty’s Flame will keep you wanting more of Caleb and his phoenix mate. One thing Davis can be counted on is for each story to have a strong-willed, independent heroine. And she did not disappoint. No weak-minded female who forgets everything she’s fought for on her own before finding her mate, Amelia is the complete opposite and we love her for it.

In the vein of full disclosure, I feel I must admit that if not for the misspellings and the grammatical errors, this would have been a definite 5 star book for me. But, as I am a stickler for grammar in the books I choose to read, I had to keep that in mind when writing my review. Otherwise a wonderfully woven tale that could not be put down.
