Reviewer’s Thoughts

Break Me Now is the third book in the Boys of Sinn Island series by Leah Blake.  While this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone novel with ease.

Julian Stark suffered years of abuse at the hands of his father while he was just a child.  He did it to save his younger brothers from the pain and punishment.  However now that he is older he is coping with his past the best he can with certain rules to keep his fragile heart safe. When Bradley pushes him outside his comfort zone sparks fly.

Bradley Lawson has a reason beyond needing a job to come to Sinn Island. He seems to have his heart and eyes set on becoming Julian’s slave. Bradley will do whatever he can to get his way. However he is no doormat and pushes back at Julian when he can.

The connection between Julian and Bradley is intense. Julian fights tooth and nail his attraction to Bradley and it does not help that Bradley pushes Julian to give in and try. Its apparent that the only reason Bradley is attempting to be a slave to Julian is that he wants to be Julian’s personal slave and not just someone he trained. The sex scenes were scorching. You could see how Julian lost control and broke some personal rules he held to when he is with Bradley.

This book is well written with an interesting plot.  I really wished this book were longer than what it was.  The author seemed to gloss over parts that I would have liked to know more about, like Julian’s childhood.  The while a bit predictable, it was enjoyable to see how everything worked out in the end. Overall, this was a wonderful book.
