Bullied in high school Delaney Mason was glad to put those days behind her she is now working for one of the largest companies in the south. She is not only a graphic artist but also Vice President of Marketing. Her boss sends her to Climax Holler, Tennessee to meet with Stone Mountain Adventures, a new client for their company. Her boss sends her their to get her away from the office as she has witnessed some inappropriate behavior between him and a fellow employee. She was fearful that she would be fired and is surprised to find he is just sending her to meet with their new client.
All it takes is one look at Beau Stone and Delaney is thrown back to her high school days and the memories of the bullying that she endured at the hands of guys like Beau – walking prefection, but she can’t stop her attraction to him.
Beau takes a group of clients including Delaney on a adventure into the mountains where they can enjoy nature. As night falls Delaney and the campers settle down for the night she is the only one by herself except for Beau. With the attraction between them sizzling Beau and Delaney find themselves in the same tent getting hot and heavy. However, when they hear gunshots everything comes to a stand still. Beau is alarmed that he was so distracted that he may have endangered his other clients.
Delaney is insure in herself and her plus-size body and thinks that Beau is no different from the guys in high school and will drop her like a hot potato when he sees her upclose and personal. Beau sees that Delaney is insecure in her size and feels that he could not possibly be attracted to her and he sets out to prove her wrong.
This story was a quick read with humor and sweet romance. Look forward to reading more of this series.
