Chad AndersΒ doesn’t know why mousyΒ Cynthia HenleyΒ trips all over her tongue when she’s aroundΒ him. Nor does he understand his undeniable attraction to this good girl. Wild and sexy is his type, like the dream-girl he caught a glimpse of years earlier he’s never forgotten.Cynthia’s superpower is invisibility, especially with men. It’s better for everyone that way. Besides, she’s got a cat. She’s okay. But when playboy-rancher Chad hires her, she’s got a chance to shine. Professionally, at least. Until she learns of his fascination with a mysterious dream-girl, who was actually nothing more than a shy teenager on an ill-advised dare all those years ago. Cynthia knows she’sΒ no man’s dream-girl and never will be.But there’s magic at the ball. Princesses glow in the starlight, princes appear out of nowhere, and, sometimes, they look a lot like cowboys…

Cinderella’s Cowboy is quick, sweet read that definitely gives you the warm and fuzzies. It is the fourth book in the This Old House series, but works as stand-alone.

We meet Cynthia, a hard working graphic designer/event coordinator, and Chad, an ex-Rodeo cowboy starting a charity. The two officially meet when Chad hires Cynthia to help create the first big fundraiser for his charity. Planning the fundraiser brings Chad and Cynthia (along with her steps sisters) together and they obviously have a connection, but it doesn’t go anywhere.

Cynthia has definite self-confidence issues and doesn’t believe that someone would choose her over her β€œprettier” sisters. Chad’s reputation and own insecurities don’t help. They finally get things figured out at the big fundraiser and head off into their happily-ever-after.

This is definitely a feel good book. It’s short, but the length works. There is just enough character development that the main characters are interesting, but there is very little there for the secondary characters. If you are looking for a sweet, one afternoon diversion this book would be a great choice.

I am a full time mom who works part time. I squeeze reading in wherever I can between work, volunteer stuff, and kid activities. I read a little bit of everything, but really enjoy indie authors and Happy- Ever-Afters. I've been reviewing for Cocktails and Books since January 2015.
