71o05eplA-L._SL1300_Honor and obey. Those were the two words Shannon Parker had committed to when signing the contract and entering into an alternative lifestyle with her husband. Embracing the challenges of domestic discipline with David was without a doubt a last ditch effort to save their crumbling marriage. Discipline and a strict regimen helped her focus and for a few weeks everything was almost perfect. Almost. Then she began to unravel, the willful and highly opinionated woman she’d been bleeding through her newfound restraints. She needed more from him and he simply wasn’t available, so she made a series of choices. Now there was a new word and it was ugly. Betrayal.

David was confused, concerned about his growing resentment toward her lack of obedience and his need to take more control. Instead of being the mentor and teacher she so craved, he was nothing more than an argumentative spouse, allowing Shannon to break the rules. His business booming, time restraints alone kept him for pursuing his dominant role. But there was more. Guilt. Something he was going to have to face in an effort to bring them closer together. When her behavior became increasingly childish, he was determined to tame her – until one fateful night, one that opened his eyes to the woman hiding behind an obvious mask.

A damaged marriage, broken trust and two souls bent on achieving more. Coming to terms with the state of their marriage wasn’t easy, and the decision made was difficult as well as life changing yet again. Finally, they both had to face haunting secrets. Was it too late to save something so precious?

Reviewer’s Thoughts

There is a situation and a process that is bound tightly with it can not be ignored. We all want to ignore them from time to time that tough thing that looms over us night after night, preoccupies and distracts us during the day…a decision. In an effort to make the right choices under various circumstances; bringing closure requires a decision that will surely impact a large portion of life. The process of making a decision is daunting and nerve wrecking. Who wants to make the wrong choice? Would being completely transparent really set one free? Being a tiny bit obscure.. hmmm can you remember what you said and how you said it? That opaqueness must be maintained in order to keep the threads of obscurity from unraveling.

In the well written intriguing sizzler of BDSM, love, desire, untruths and a spanking here and there for being disobedient are tightly woven in Decision by renowned author Cassandre Dayne. Decision makes the reader wonder and reflect on their own past as they become engrossed in another titillating, absorbing narrative crafted from the imaginative Ms. Dayne.

Decision’s characters are easy to relate to and many situations that generate immediate reflections of prior situations that involved the options of being undercover, on the down-low, flying under the radar.

Shannon is an attorney and has challenging cases, along with managing and administrative staff and being all she can be to service her husband, David. Shannon is an experimentalist when it comes to the hot and sexy exploits a mind and body can handle. Her role as a submissive is decadent and empowering. Her raging libido may be the element Shannon wishes she could keep under control. Shannon loves being a tad bit naughty, naughty so that she can get a few taps on that bountiful behind of hers from the man she loves, her husband, David. Shannon will do whatever she has to do to make her husband David happy and content.

David is a man who has high expectations, demands and enjoys executing them. David was the β€œHead of the Household” a man’s duty and Shannon loved this aspect of their newly implementations of β€œdomestic discipline” since it may bring she and David a stronger connection and higher level of commitment as much as she loved having this hunk of man carnally.

David will you find him too demanding? Is he over the up in his requirements to maintain the role as Head of the household a cover up for the guilt he carries around daily?

Decision is just that book of blazing, volcanic eruption of carnality, lust, love, longing, loneliness and fantasies.

Decision skillfully manufactured by Ms. Dayne as she breathes life into her story from a different vantage point than I expected and it made the read a bit more intriguing. The BDSM and sensuality that oozes from literally the first paragraph to the end of the book captivates a reader who appreciates this lifestyle along with tightly integrated suspense. The introduction of characters who play a major part in the decisions made by both Shannon and David and others are subtle and honed to perfection in my opinion. The conflict, plot and resolution, dialogue and interactions and inner conversations held by Shannon and David hold so realism it is often startling.

Ms. Dayne’s Decision is a reflective and entertaining read which left me looking for the next book. Decision develops into an irresistible, delicious set of dreams, smutty passions it took over my mind, body and soul and I willing submitted to the demands of the talented Ms. Dayne. Her messages to the reader are thought provoking and invokes several trips down memory lane of the nights of obscurity that may become transparent in the dawning of the mornings’ light.
